Best App I have

As a beginner, the amount of tools is a little overwhelming at first. But its such a warm community that there are always so many places to find help and people offering it. I have been here a little over two years and have learned so much, made many new friends and have grown as a person and an artist. There are many types of art, many levels of artistic ability and a place for everyone. The tools, free classes and wonderful community make this the best art app on the market hands down. The creator being involved is a big plus! Try it, you will love it.

Best Drawing App on iPad

I am a professional graphic designer and I have used many high-end art programs, such as Adobes Photoshop and Illustrator. At $2.99, Sketch Club is priced far too low. I am able to create high-quality, printable illustrations easily with Sketch Club. I find the user interface to be more intuitive and friendlier than any other iPad art app I have tried. Plus, the community makes Sketch Club extra special. No matter your skill level, there is something for everyone. I have learned so much from the other artists there and everyone has always been friendly and encouraging. Looking at my gallery showing my two years of work with Sketch Club, I am amazed at how much I have improved as an artist. I highly recommend Sketch Club if you want to take your art to a higher level or if you just want to have fun. :)

Excellent App!

This is by far the best drawing/painting app for iPad. I wander off to the others occasionally (Procreate, Artrage, Pixelmator, etc.) and they have their good points, but I always wind up back using Sketch Club. There are several reasons for that. 1) It has the most complete toolset. Brushes, procedurals, pens, vectors, its just all there. It has an excellent set of filters, fantastic layer support, selection, copy/paste, image import...basically anything you can think of. 2) The new brush update is simply amazing. You now have both a shape, AND a texture to work with. These brushes can do anything. 3) Apple Pencil support is excellent. I use an iPad Pro now, and so Pencil support is vital. Using the Apple Pencil with Sketch Club is a revelation...so accurate, with decent palm rejection, my iPad can finally completely replace paper for any kind of artwork I want to do. 4) The community is great. Im not big into social media, and I think its a bit unfortunate that Sketch Club has the name Club in it...makes it sound like the app is completely focused around the social aspects. But the truth is, the app is a very powerful drawing and painting app, and the social stuff is "extra." However, having said that, the community is very friendly and welcoming, and Ive really enjoyed sharing my artwork there. Plus theres a "Livestream" feature built right in, so you can watch (and hear) others as they create stuff, attend (or give) lessons, etc. No other art application has this level of support for community. Ive found it quite enriching. 5) The app almost never crashes. Its so rare, Ive really only seen it crash a half dozen times in my 4 years of using it. And when it does crash, your stuff is still saved. Ive never lost a stroke. Cons: There arent many. I think the UI for the social part of the app has become rather cluttered over time. It has a lot of cool features, but its a bit disorganized. The web site is having a few growing pains. SC has become more and more popular, and sometimes the site is a bit swamped. Theres so many new sketches every day! But thats also a plus, I guess :) Bottom line, this is the app to have. Very highly recommended.

Sketch Club

Best thing that has happened to me in the computer age....tutorials, tools, friends....cant say enough nice comments!!!!!

Love this, but....

...Im still learning my way around.

Simply the best and most full-featured art app in the store.

Sketch Club just keeps getting better and better, powerful, fun and a joy to use—never crashes. I use to stream my artwork live on Twitch and cant believe not more people know about this gem.

The best app for 3 years now!!

Look no further, this app has it all. Awesome community, fun challenges, amazing artist, public gallery, sharing, fast app support, and includes more colors, tools, and canvas options than you can imagine! The only complaint is that as of late there seems to be a lot of new tweens who use the public art gallery to share their Google downloaded celeb crush pics. Sorry kiddos, we know you love Taylor Swift, but if youre not here to draw her, then youve got the wrong app!

The Best Art App, But Crashing Recently :(.

I had to update my review again for this latest update, due to the fact that Im still receiving constant crashes. Despite my current crashing problems, I still want to state that when, Sketch Club, is working properly, in my opinion it is the very best painting, drawing and sketching application available on the App Store, bar none. Not to mention that I believe it contains the most feature-rich, helpful, inspiring and above all the most friendly community of people and developer that Ive ever come across. Unfortunately, though, I am having a real hard time experiencing all of those great things recently, due to the constant crashing of the application. I tried rebooting my iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 9.2.1, but, nothing Ive tried like that has stopped this worrisome issue. I thought about uninstalling and reinstalling, Sketch Club, but I wasnt sure whether I would lose all of saved paintings in the app or not, so I havent done that. I sincerely hope that the developer would please look into what might be causing these serious crashing problems that Im having with the app after the past two updates. I literally use this program every day and not having stable access to it is really bumming me out. So, I would again ask, BlackPawn, to please investigate and hopefully fix this issue on my iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 9.2.1 and release a new update for the application hopefully. Also, the times that the app has crashed and a crash report popped up (which isnt every time I have a crash and actually isnt very often in relation to the number of crashes Ive experienced), I have made sure to send those crash reports to the developer. So, I do really hope that those reports will help you to locate the issue. Thanks again for this wonderful program, that I hope gets fixed soon and God bless. iPhone 6 Plus/ iOS 9.2.1

Sketchclub is the BEST!

I have been using Sketchclub for about 3 years. It has brought Art back in my life. I draw with Sketchclub every day and cant imagine going a day without it. It is the best app Ive used.

Sketch Club is the best app ever!!

I have been a member for about 2 years. This drawing app is amazing!!! All of the tools, layering, filters, brushes, etc. are absolutely wonderful!! My artwork has improved immensely since I first joined. The community is also awesome. I have made many friends, and I really appreciate the support and help everyone is willing to give. There are so many tutorials to watch on YouTube to help you learn, as well as "live" classes you can watch. I also love the various art groups that you can join. There is a group for every type, style, and variety of art imaginable. I highly recommend this app to everyone from beginners to accomplished artists. Please join!!

Great app, great community!

I was worried that the app might not be up for heavy lifting, but it is very well featured and perhaps just as important, FEELS right. It has some EXCELLENT built in tools like sketchy and it gives you the ability to look like a pro right away. And the community is very engaging with daily contests that keep you inspired and active with supportive members who will challenge you, but also encourage you, no matter what your skill level or where you are on your art creation journey.

Best ever!

I am so happy with this app. It is great! It have no lag even when you have a lot of strokes.

No other art app compares

The art community is so tight in this app that you feel like you own it too if that makes any sense, like you have a personal stake in its success and popularity. My art has improved tremendously with other users critiques and tips. With the social media aspect of the app you dont even personally have to be an amazing artist to have fun, you can use it to look at art, collect it, use it for inspiration for your own, and maybe, just maybe learn something.

Help!

I cant figure out how to start videotaping it but it says Error and I am getting mad but instead of that WOW I LOVE THE APP THX

The Best Ive Found

Hands down, Sketchclub is the best and easiest to use imaging tool, whether you are looking to do simple thumbnail sketches or sophisticated image manipulation. It is packed with tools for drawing, painting, precise vector imaging, photo manipulation, even some basic typesetting. I use it for thumbnailing ideas for graphic design clients, and making fully finished digital paintings for print. And you cant argue with the price either!

I cant Believe I got so much app for only 2.99 !

I have all the "stylus enabled" drawing apps. Ive paid 3x as much for Procreate and its the most unpredictable, unstable app. I just started using Sketch Club and cant believe how much you get for the money. On top of Countless brush options, you can also download additional ones (effortlessly I might add) from the sketch club web site. Im truly blown away by all the options. I never write reviews but this is the exception. I truly hope you dont try to change or alter the app as it grows bc its perfect so far! Thank you for ending my search for the perfect art app!

Well organized

I am a beginner at art, but I love this drawing app. Once you learn where to go it is so well organized. You can see your own work and comments, or others work with replies to your comments and additional comments. The multiple sorts for categorizing what you would like to see is wonderful. Not to mention the incredible amount of tools that will continue to make your artwork challenging and more fun to create. Keep it simple or use hundreds of brushes, and with 10-20 layers in your picture so that you dont mess up the background when changing something in the foreground...or vice versa. Thank you Sketchclub for such a great app that will keep me busy for years.

My go-to art app

I will preface by saying Im on an iPad Pro. I love the tools this app offers, the community templates and brushes are a great resource. And, I enjoy the online Sketch Club community. Check out the tutorials! My friends ask if Im ever going to go back to traditional media. Right now, Im just having too much fun!

Exceptional App!

Been on Sketch Club for close to 3 years now, and its still my favorite app, favorite hobby, and favorite group of people anywhere. Helpful and encouraging artists share their skills with novices like me, and are the reason Im improving! If you are an artist or would like to be, if you havent got it, get it. You wont be disappointed.

Amazing drawing tool!

This all is so simple and easy to use, and you can create amazing things out of it. While it is relatively advanced, it is also not confusing at all and you can easily access all of the tools. I have on suggestion though; how about being able to expand a canvas that you are currently working on? I find it a little frustrating to draw something, then want to add something else with the canvas being too small. I could shrink it, but I dont want to mess up the resolution; could you please fix this? Thanks!
